Avant Recovery is Moving Forward — Starting March 20th

Recovery is full of moments that ask us to pause, reflect, and choose again. At Avant Recovery, we know beginnings matter — and so does the meaning behind them.

That’s why we’re launching our Meeting of the Minds (MOMs) on March 20, 2026.

March 20 marks the Spring Equinox, a day when light and darkness are in balance. It’s the official start of spring — a season rooted in renewal, growth, and hope. For those of us in recovery, this symbolism seems particularly pertinent. Recovery isn’t about erasing the past; I know I’ve tried to do that, and it never worked out. Instead, I’ve learned to balance the weight of the past with the lightness that comes from having a real future now.

Avant Recovery was created so people can come as they are, share what they know, and learn what they don’t. A place where lived experience is valued, connection is encouraged, and no one has to deal with this crazy life on their own. Launching on the equinox reflects the belief that even after the long, dark winter, change is possible — and light always returns.

MOMs begin March 20, 2026, which just so happens to be a Tuesday. Tuesdays are said to be associated with forward motion and action. What better metaphor than that for recovery?

You can find the MOMs schedule, get a link, or connect by visiting avantrecovery.org - or connect directly at nikki.beaulieu@avantrecovery.org.

Whether you’re early in recovery, long into it, or simply curious, there’s space for you here. Spring is a beginning, Tuesdays are for moving avant, and you are invited to be part of a new community of recovering addicts.

Can’t wait to see you there!

Best,

Nikki Beaulieu
